Abacus Business by the Numbers, owned and operated by Peggy Weiser, positively and effectively impacts daily operations of small businesses and organizations. Utilizing current technology coupled with hands-on involvement, Abacus’ turnkey bookkeeping services and training enables small businesses to focus on their business.
We have been in business since 1990. However, with our history in the financial, bookkeeping and computer fields, we offer over 35 years of experience providing friendly and capable services.
Vision Statement: For thousands of years, people from many cultures have performed complex calculations using an abacus. Today, accounting software enables businesses to balance the tracking, calculating and strategic financial planning crucial to success. At Abacus Business by the Numbers, our sole purpose is to ensure this balance.
Mission Statement: Abacus Business by the Numbers is your outsourced bookkeeper and trainer. Helping small business owners balance time and bookkeeping, we are certified to install, configure, train and maintain QuickBooks, AccountEdge (MYOB) and Peachtree systems, thus providing the framework to understand and utilize bookkeeping data in an accurate and cost-effective way.

Peggy Weiser provides superior bookkeeping services as well as training and software support to clients in the public and private sectors, drawing on her 20+ years experience in the field. She carries a full array of certifications including:

Ms. Weiser’s clients include retail, health food preparation and sales, veterinarians, real estate (including rental properties and development), service industries, building contractors, construction, attorneys, finance/investment firms, fabrication shop, landscaper, staffing agency, factoring company, tutoring firm, public relations, Chamber of Commerce, photographer, non-profits, and others.
Peggy employs a number of experienced bookkeepers that perform work on client accounts for efficient and accurate bookkeeping.
Ms. Weiser opened Abacus Business by the Numbers in 1990 doing write up services for clients using BPI accounting software. In 1996, she transitioned into MYOB Windows based accounting software, added QuickBooks certification in 1999, and has maintained all certifications since.
Abacus’ services include a wide range of services including day-to-day client bookkeeping functions as well as providing training to clients to perform these functions. Functions included are data entry, bank reconciliations (and other reconciliations as appropriate), paying bills, generating payroll, generating EFTPS for payroll tax liability and preparing payroll and sales tax returns, and many others.
In addition, Peggy works with an Administrative Services company and is able to provide a wide range of services beyond bookkeeping.
